paris, I’ll see you soon

Il n’y a que deux endroits au monde où l’on puisse vivre heureux: chez soi et à Paris.

There are only two places in the world where we can live happy, at home and in Paris

  1. Effectivement. Il n’y a que Paris… (A couple of other places…) 🙂
Nice blog. Bon voyage à Paris.
(I’m going in ten days. For two months!)
    Have a nice week-end

    1. feeling a little surreal, my first time to Europe. It’s a long awaited dream, will only be a short stay as I’m leaving the children home. A little taste tester for now. i guess i should pack, we fly out tomorrow.
      regards carly

      1. Enjoy your stay. No matter how short. A few suggestions in Paris. “Loin des sentiers battus”! Obviously walk along the Seine! You can walk from the Arc the Triomphe along the Champs -Elysées to Place de la Concorde, through the Tuileries (See the Maillol Statues close to the Louvre) At the end of the Louvre, cross the river on the Pont des Arts (Where the padlocks are. A pedestrian bridge). Try to take the Batobus, it’s a boat shuttle coupled with the metro. Makes stops along the Seine. A visit by boat along the Canal Saint-Martin is fabulous… And… Besides Orsay and the Louvre that are always packed you can go the Gustave Moreau Museum. Look it up. Fasciniating. There’s also the Musee Carnavalet near the Place des Vosges. And, finally: Musée Marmottan to the west: a great collection of impressionists: Renoir, Maner, Berthe Morisot. Not as stacked as Orsay! 🙂 Bon voyage! Brian
